My Favorite Show on Dish TV Satellite

I decided to get dish TV satellite as a practical move. I felt like I was paying too much for TV when I barely get the channels that I like due to low quality reception. I heard that satellite TV is the latest thing right now so I came to a point where I had to consider whether I should stick to cable or satellite TV instead. I heard that the dish network satellite is one of the longest standing and leading satellite TV providers in America so I gave it a try due to their reputation as well and I have friends who are using the network as well and they often boast that it as like you had a free satellite TV so I thought I would give it a try.

Entertainment Upgrade with Dish TV Satellite

I treated my move to the dish TV satellite as an upgrade due to the fact that everything was better.

I had my list of favorite TV shows. Before, I was not able to watch some of them because I had work or I had errands to run. But with the dish network, I was able to catch up with my favorite shows in two different ways. One is by recording them and the second is to catch them on other channels that were also featuring the same show but on a different time slot.

Aside from that I get to have all these channels to choose from that while I was paying a bill that was lesser than what I was spending on my cable TV. It felt like I had a free satellite TV in my hands.

The reception and the picture quality were also clear and excellent. I read in their brochure that there were more than six satellites present that allow the dish TV satellite to telecast over two thousand channels from around the world.

My Dish TV Satellite Experience

It was easy to get started with the dish TV satellite. I did not have a hard time at all and I did not have to wait long in order to get it installed in my home. The installation was free and there were some free equipment too like the television dish and the tuner. No wonder my friends told me that it was like installing free satellite TV instead.

The dish TV satellite was fabulous. The menus were very easy to use and the packages are very reasonably priced when compared to other services. I was particularly fond of the dual mode option where I could record one show while I was watching another channel at the same time. This made it nearly impossible for me or my kids to miss anything in case our show’s schedules conflicted or they were in school and I was at work.

Direct TV VS. DiSH Network on Sports

Both offer Free Satellite TV Installation

When it comes to picking a satellite television company, many people look to the sports packages when trying to figure out which company to select. That’s not surprising, considering that sports are a multi-billion dollar industry in the United States and a big part of many peoples social life.  Of course adding the sports bundles are not free satellite TV and cost a little extra.  When looking at Direct TV and Dish Network, what should you consider if you are an avid sports fan?

The first thing to remember is that both satellite TV companies carry all of the major networks like NBC, ABC and FOX.  In most areas of the country, these channels are also in HD.  So if you are a casual fan who likes to watch the major sporting events, you will be able to find these on both Dish Network and Direct TV without having to pay an arm and a leg.

Both satellite carriers also carry the major cable networks like ESPN, ESPNEWS, and your regional sports networks.  Some of the lower level packages may not offer these channels, so if coverage of your local sports team is important, than you should check into this further.
Also everyone wants free satellite TV installation; fortunately you are in luck because both companies have it.

The big difference between Dish Network and Direct TV when it comes to sports programming is when considering the premium packages.  Offers like the NFL Sunday Ticket are currently only available through Direct TV.  Other packages like the MLB Extra Innings package are offered to all cable and satellite providers, but because Dish Network does not yet have an agreement you won’t find it there.
Additionally, Direct TV now has expanded sports coverage of the major golf and tennis tournaments.  Using their Mix channel technology, subscribers have access to literally hundreds of hours of additional coverage when it comes to major tournaments like Wimbledon.
When it comes to sports, the basics can be found on both satellite television providers.  But if you want all of the sports bundles, Direct TV is the clear provider of choice.  Hence I would recommend Direct TV even though you have to pay a little extra because just because it is Direct TV it is not free satellite TV, but its worth it!

Remember there is no such thing as a free ride, so focus on value instead.

Number of Channels

Before you install DISH satellite TV you will want to know how many channels you can receive. The packages available vary from 55 channels to nearly 300. The packages with higher numbers of channels include several CD-quality music channels, which many people find valuable. However it is something to be aware of, that 300 channels does not always mean 300 different TV programs to watch. Many of these stations have only music.

Pricing (it’s not free guys)

In many cases a simple price comparison with cable TV is enough to make you want to install DISH satellite TV. With DISH Network you can get started for as little as $25 a month. In addition to your monthly bill, you will want to know the price to get started. Great to know that it is free to install DISH satellite TV, including mounting the dish, running & grounding the cables, and weatherproofing the connections and structure. To add a DVR will cost around six dollars, but one DVR can be shared between 2 TVs.

Equipment

When you order Dish network  you will get the dish, the cables, the receiver and remote included in the free satellite TV installation. There are some upgrades and accessories available to enhance your experience, but you really only need what comes with the installation to enjoy great satellite TV right away.
